Amended Schedule For NCC

After unfortunate weather conditions and the postponement of racing at Swanage on 6th October, the CPGA has announced a revised schedule for the National County Championships at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre on Sunday 13th October.

Claire Tripp, General Manager said “It was really disappointing to see a postponement of the Swanage event but we are very grateful to the team at Mount Batten for accommodating what promises to be a very busy day of racing”.

The amended schedule for the day will see both Adult and Junior racing with 1st, 2nd and 3rd medals for all categories.

Schedule:

  • 08:00 – Boats Arrive  
  • 0815 – Registration Opens 
  • 08:30 – Safety Team Meeting
  • 09:00 – Race Official Briefing 
  • 09:30 – Coxes Meeting
  • 09:45 – Race Start

  1. Vets – Women
  2. Senior – Open
  3. U25 – Women
  4. Vets – Open
  5. Masters – Women
  6. SV – Open
  7. Senior – Women
  8. U14 – Open
  9. U18 – Girls
  10. U16 – Open
  11. U14 – Girls
  12. U18 – Open
  13. U16 – Girls
  14. Masters – Open
  15. SV – Women
  16. U25 – Open
  17. Mixed – Women/Girls Minimum of 5 age categories per crew – Not including the coxswain (Coxswain must be an adult)
  18. Mixed – Open Minimum of 5 age categories per crew – Not including the coxswain (Coxswain must be an adult)

Refreshments will be available throughout the day served in the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre.

Engagement and Participation Lead, Nick George said “The National County Championships has a unique format and we are looking forward to welcoming athletes from across our growing geography. We always enjoy the noisy encouragement offered by both spectators and the participating competitors and we expect the county sides to be well supported in Plymouth this coming weekend.”
