The National County Championships (NCC) take place at the end of the racing season with representative crews selected to compete on behalf of their county.
County crews are made up of participants from all counties in which a CPGA member club is present; from Bristol, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Dorset, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, London, Norfolk, Somerset and Sussex. Subject to county selector nominations, some counties may be combined to form representative sides.

This year’s National County Championships will take place across two consecutive Sundays in October.
Seniors will be held in Dorset hosted by Swanage Sea Rowing Club, in Swanage on Sunday 6th October.
Adrian Charters, Swanage Rowing Club Chair, said, “This will be the first year that Dorset has hosted a National County Championship event and we are delighted to be hosting. We are holding the Super Vets Championship on Saturday 5th alongside a Blues Festival. There will be a great deal going on in the town and we are really hoping to bring a special atmosphere to the Senior NCC event on Sunday 6th.”
Juniors will take place in Devon at the Mount Batten Watersports & Activities Centre in Plymouth on Sunday 13th October.
Events Lead, Dylan Jane explained, “We have been really fortunate to secure the amazing facilities at the Mountbatten Watersports Centre again, and this year we are dedicating the whole weekend to Junior rowing with the Junior International Pilot Gig Championships on Saturday and the Junior National County Championships on Sunday.
