Next weekend (7th and 8th September) the harbour at Newquay will be filled with 120 ladies gig crews from across the country battling it out to take the top spot at the Newquay Championships 2019.
Run over two days, Round 1 and 2 (weather permitting) will be completed on the Saturday, with the quarters, semis and final on the Sunday. Five rounds of racing for those who compete in the final.
The gig selection has been made by Newquay, who extend thanks to all clubs who have agreed to the loans to make this years championships possible.
