On Sunday 20th January 2019 the AGM of the CPGA CIO was held at the China Fleet Club, Saltash, Cornwall.
Those in attendance for the AGM were welcomed by Shane Sullivan – chair of trustees. In brief, 2018 again a busy year for the CPGA.
• Largest number of applications to join the Association
• Large number of potential gig builds in the coming two / three years
• The ‘Pulling Together The Past’ HLF project being run by the CPGA is underway
• County crews raced hosted by Caradon
• National racing against crews from the Italy
• The racing conference
• A successful second boatbuilders meeting

• Indoor rowing champs on the 23/2/19 at St Austell Brewery
• County crews to race to be hosted by Devon
• Exciting project with Falmouth Marine School
• Already completed the sale of Circe (see a previous news item)

Current CPGA registered gigs stands at 204. There are six (6) gigs being constructed. Of the 204 only 25 remain to be ‘tagged’, the CPGA identification system for the gigs.

The Chairman’s Cup was presented to Torpoint Rowers for upholding the ethos of the sport in the loan of their newly acquired gig – Lantic for all to use at the Newquay Championships 2018.
Prior to the AGM a trade show was held. This was the first year of this format and all charities and businesses that attended liked the format and had opportunity to meet and discuss with club representatives. Those in attendance were:
