The Cornish Pilot Gig Association (CPGA) is seeking new Trustees to join our Board in 2026. We’re looking for people who share our principles, mission and values, and who are passionate about helping to shape the future of Cornish Pilot Gig rowing.
As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in the governance and strategic direction of the CPGA, ensuring the charity continues to grow and thrive in line with its constitution and legal responsibilities. This is a voluntary position, though reasonable travel and subsistence expenses can be reimbursed.
We are especially keen to hear from those with skills or experience in:
– Legal, HR, or accounting
– Commercial or business management
– Community engagement and development
– Active involvement or a strong interest in Cornish Pilot Gig rowing
Trustees are elected by Full Member Clubs and generally serve a minimum two-year term, with the opportunity to be re-elected for further terms.
“Being part of the CPGA Board means helping to preserve a living tradition while guiding its future – it’s incredibly rewarding to play a role in a sport that brings people and communities together.”
– Phoebe Millar
If you’re interested in becoming a Trustee, please email hello@cpga.co.uk with a short covering letter. Find out more about the role and what to include in your letter by reading the Trustee Role Profile.
The application deadline is Monday 17th November 2025.
The current Trustees will review applications, followed by a vote by Full Member Clubs at an Annual General Meeting in January 2026.
