During the 2022 AGM in January, the CPGA membership voted and approved a 5 year strategy plan which had been created and consulted on with all clubs during 2021. Now our strategy is in place, this is an update regarding progress to date.
Membership
Our £5 per named member linked to the club membership registers have been invoiced – this has replaced the flat fee paid by all clubs, this money is used to maintain the running of our sport and our activities.
The new individual membership will up and running in June 2022. This is £25 which allows anyone to join and support the developments of the CPGA.
Developments include: event management, training courses, club development and support. Participants in CPGA championship events will be required to hold this membership. Further details to follow.
Administration
During February, you will have seen job opportunities within the CPGA, for general administration support and for consultancy to implement the new membership software and process.
Consultancy firm ‘Azook’ won the contract to implement our membership offering alongside the software firm ‘Just Go’. This work will culminate in the launch of the individual membership scheme.
Anne Curnow Care has been appointed Principle Administrator for the CPGA. We all know Anne and her skills, knowledge and experience in coordinating all aspects of the CPGA activity is vital and she will now have more time to enable further efficiencies which can only enhance and improve members, clubs, builders and partners involvement with the CPGA. Anne’s new email address is admin@cpga.co.uk
It is also exciting to announce that we have been able to employ additional support, focusing on our Accounting and Budgeting especially with individual membership considerations. Morwenna Geach, who also applied for the Administrator role has now been appointed after an impressive interview and her experience of the sport through her connections with Looe Rowing Club. To contact Morwenna, please email finance@cpga.co.uk
